Either dont father a child, or stay with the mother of yours.

I'm going to play devil's advocate and assume that you're being sincere and serious and not one of the names described by other posters in the forum.

You can always dispute paternity tests and submit to them. If you aren't the father, you don't pay PERIOID.

You have to establish a physical and/or mental disability that prevents you from earning income. Apply for government benefits and the child support rules will determine the amount of money based on the benefit amount. Have your public defender explain your situation to the judge and be prepared with documentation to back up your physical and/or mental condition

The other option is a long prison sentence, but before you go to prison, file a motion to suspend the child support accrued during your prison stay. Otherwise, the child support will keep accruing while you're behind bars. When you're released, you could owe $50,000 or more.

Hmmm along with all the other answers I'm just trying to figure out if your this callous toward someone who is your child what type of person you actually are. I believe waiting until the child is 18 is the best answer. It's your duty as a parent to provide for that child too bad if it's inconvenient or at the wrong time or with the wrong person this isn't a goldfish or some cold-blooded creature you thought it might be fun to have around for a little while. Oh and don't try to pawn it off on oh it's her fault she wasn't supposed to get pregnant. what a bunch of malarkey that is. Fess up and pay.

Why would you want to deprive your child(ren) of the financial support you are morally and legally obligated to pay ???Do not think I do not know where you are coming from, I have paid for a very long time, and finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. I have to tell you, there is NO WAY in hell you are going to get out of paying, those days are gone forever...and rightfully so... Be a man, do the right thing... I ate spaghetti for years, slept on friends couches, did without a lot of stuff in the prime of my life so my kids would have the financial support that they need to become responsible, productive citizens... I know it is neither fun nor easy, but you created them, and they deserve a decent chance...Gotta tell you, I wouldn't have the stones to ask that question of a public forum... Get ready for the controversy

People like you make me sick, If you didnt want a kid you should of used protection. Why should all the financial burden be on the mother? You helped in creating that child so be a man and take care of him or her, If you dont want to pay support then sign your rights away and let the mother of your child find a real man who will also except your child into his life and take care of him properly

You become a responsible parent, and take the bull by the horns, and fight for custody! It's either that, or sign over your parental right to the child, and if/when the childs mother gets married, and IF the childs new step father wants to adopt the child, then you would be relieved of your financial obligation. NOTE - This does NOT mean you are no longer the childs biological father, but just giving up your parental rights to that child may certainly lead that child to believe they want little to do with you. Choose your actions carefully because the end result could last a lifetime.

Death is about the only way. If you quit or lose your job you're still responsible for paying. Why wouldn't you want to pay child support? You brought these children into the world - it's your responsibility to take care of them both financially and emotionally.

You really can't. No matter the situation it is a vicious business. Even when the children pass 18 you are likely to keep paying until they are legally emancipated.

On the other hand, if you had full residential custody then the mother would have to pay you. Thats the situation I am in now!

You can go to jail if paying to help raise your child is to much of a hassle for you.
I don't understand how any parent could be so non caring as to try to get out of paying to help support their child be it the father or the mother.
Be responsible, pay your support, all of us hard working people are tired of paying for dead beat parents.

Dont just spread your seeds anywhere. But to try and "get out of paying child support" in my book you are a b*tch & you need to man up & take care of your responsibilities! Poor excuse for a father if you ask me!

pay it for the 18 years required then you won't have to pay it anymore... that's the ONLY LEGAL WAY to get out of it.

don't be a dead beat... do what's right and support your child!!!!!

she wasn't the only 1 who laid down and made a baby.. she shouldn't be the only 1 to pay and support the child.... it takes 2 rememeber????
