If can't sing....... you can't sing, even singing lessons cant make someone who doesn't have a good voice sound good. And please don't burden the world with another person who has no musical talent. There are people making money in the music industry who simply shouldn't be, it is very wrong that people with no musical talent can make it in the music business, when there are so many people who ooze talent and don't get a chance. The less talentless people there are in the music industry, the more room there is for people with real talent to get in.

Really, please don't bother. yes there are some (not really that many) pop stars who can't sing but their careers will be short Chico is a fad and he will disappear. Producers can do wonders but if you don't have a voice to begin with you will not last long and you will not be true to yourself. Take Milli Vanilli as a prime example, they started to believe the hype and thought they could sing and it all ended in disaster. Think about another angle in the music biz like producing or mixing or DJing or promoting. there are loads of jobs in the industry that don't require you to sing.

Go to a voice coach, apparently anyone can sing, if trained, also get a loud backing group to drown out your off notes, great music, great lyrics, plenty of audio dubbing equipment, a studio professional, lots of money and a good agent, stay away from pop idol and the sneer of Simon Cowell and voila, you're made. Can I have your autograph when you're rich and famous ?

It sounds like he isn't pop material... Maybe he should invest in some music making software and try his hand at producing a record and when he learns how to use the software he could add his singing to his track and then fine tune it with an equalizer & effects... Hope that helps :)

If he's 14 his voice probably hasn't dropped yet, so it's probably early enough to get some voice coaching.
It would help if he could already read music, play instruments, etc, as that would help with tuning his voice.

You dont have to be able to sing to sing pop, just look pretty. Its quite impressive what they can do with the touch of a button. When you are on tv you can always lipsync.

It seems that looks and image count for more these days - the vocals can be amended by the producer.
