install chatting softwares like rediff bole or yahoo messenger and thru that u can send sms on mobile phones, free of cost.

when you open your id at yahoo messenger thn there becomes a option to send message to your friend . you use their given directions then u can send sms.

open up aol instant messanger. where it says the sn name of the person you're sending to, highlight it, then put a "+" plus the area code and the number of the cell phone then you can type and hit send
