If you really in love with her, why not?
Your best friend is an ex, so he doesn't have any claim or right to be angry.

It will be good to tell your best friend the truth in advance though, to avoid any misunderstanding that may ruin your friendship.

Back the truck up - so to speak. I'm curious why your best friend is now your ex and why you are interested in the girl friend. You can't fall in love with someone you can't have until she is free to love back.

hmmm complicated situation.....has your friend moved on? If so then i would gauge that its safe for you to see her quietly for a while......if not it might be worth talking to either one of them about how you feel, and how they would both feel in regards to the situation.
