infatuation deludes you into thinking you love some1. if you get the person your infatuated with, you would probably get bored and realise you dont actually love them! love is for keeps, and although the same fire isnt there forever, youll go the distance if the love remains

Infatuation: the thing you feel when you just HAVE TO HAVE this person. they're all you think about. you think about the scent of their cologne/perfume. you can't wait to catch a glimpse of them, again. you spend hours just thinking of how you're going to say "hi" to them the next time you pass them on the street. then, you meet them, go on a date, and find out that they have bad breath, they're BROKE, and have the personality of a squashed grape!!
love: giving unconditional acceptance and understanding to another human being and having that person give the SAME back to you. a never ending circle that's full of GIVING, GROWTH, FORGIVENESS, UNDERSTANDING, TRUST, RESPECT, and FRIENDSHIP.

Love is the REAL thing. You'll know it when you feel it.
Infatuation is more of a crush. It's lust without love.
Many people get them both confused and that's what makes things complicated a lot of times.
Try not to get the two of them mixed up. It'll save you many sleepless nights.

I think infatuation has to do with a desire to get to know someone better. You are drawn to them but you don't really know them yet. With love, you know who they really are and you are still drawn to them.
