Rome was not built in a day. You can not expect to reduce your stage fear totally at once. You'd better not try to be on a huge stage with large mass at once. First of all you try to be in a small mass say, among your family members or friends, then in local level and gradually you can enhance your level of being on the stage. It is not an easy task as to advice others. Anyway best of luck.

You have to change the image of yourself in your head, and there is an excellent and easy way to do it.

Rent or borrow a video camcorder with a triapod. In the privacy of your own home, set it up, record yourself calmly giving your speech (or doing that part in a play, or whatever is ahead for you), and then replay the tape, watching yourself successfully do what you want to without any nervousness whatsoever. Practice it as many times as you need. Watch that tape until you have that picture of yourself on the inside....

Then go give your speech. You won't see yourself as cowering, fearful or stammering. You'll see yourself poised, calm, in control, and giving a good presentation no matter what. I'm not saying you won't feel some nervousness, but the image of yourself inside will override that. It will automatically kick in. Even the Bible supports what I'm telling you - "As a man thinks in his heart, so is he." When the image you have of yourself is strong, then you will BE strong, no matter how many people you're in front of or what the occasion.

I tried the toastmaster thing, it was really horrible. It's like trying to get over your fear of snakes by having someone dump a crate full of snakes all over your body. Remember, all you need to do is change the image you have of yourself....and this is a method that is guaranteed!

Best wishes and enjoy your success!

I have taken several public speaking classes, the best tips/comments I received were... 1) Remember that the audience is on YOUR side, they want you to succeed. They don't want to see you make a mistake, but even if you do they aren't going to laugh. 2) You Always look more calm then how you feel. Sometimes people get nervous, and then become self conscious which make them even more nervous. Just keep in mind people aren't going to notice how nervous you are - they can't see your heart beating fast. They probably can't even see you get hot or sweat. 3) Just practice, practice practice. The more prepared you are the more comfortable you feel. If possible practice in front of friends or family. This will give you a small supportive audience.

Start by making sure that you are good in the thing that you are going to do on stage.

For example, if you are singing or dancing - make sure that you are a good singer or dancer.

If you have to make a speech - make sure that the speech is written well and that you can read it, that there are no strange or hard words or mistakes. Practice - read it to your friend, and ask him how it sounds.

If you are sure that you are good at what you are doing, you have no reason to fear.

As simple as it sounds just get up there as much as possible. The best way to reduce a fear is to face it. Good luck! The more ya do it the easier it gets.

How can you learn swimming without going to water? Similarly, unless you go to a stage you cannot rid off the stage-fear at all.

go to a place where no-one knows you (preferrably in another city) go to a karaoke bar & sing songs until they throw you off stage...
...then go back on and sing some more...

keep doing this until you start to lose the urge to vomit everytime you open your mouth and you will have reduced your stage fright.

first ask yourself which is one topic /subject that you strongly believe and have a strong urge to share with others .It can be anything on earth.Do some research on that topic and start discussing that topic in all your circle and if possible go to your high school where you have studied or a class lesser than where you are now and share the knowledge , share a lovely story

good luck
