Not the biggest life-consuming of questions, but.
Over the years, I have developed my own technique, but I hear others say "oh no try doing it this way" etc.
All very well, but someone on the planet, perhaps in hotels or bedding shops, must of found the ultimate method.
Any great notions as to accomplishing this tedious task ?

Cover inside out. Grab the two top corners (i.e. the ones near the pillows) of the cover. Then grasp two corners of the duvet, and shake the cover as far as possible down the duvet. Finish pushing the duvet into place and snap the snaps.

First you turn the cover inside out. Stick your arms all the way in to the corner pockets, than grab your comforter/duvet by the corners, hold the two corners now in one hand so you can pull down the cover with the free hand. Don't get it all twisted, now, keep it all straight. When cover is over the duvet, button it up and give it a good shake to fill it in & straighten it out. By the second or third time doing it this way, you'll be done in no time flat.

I agree with everyone else with the cover inside out method, but just to be differerent.. Cover the right way out, take the two top corners of the Duvet and follow the side seam to one corner, hold that corner with duvet in your mouth take the other corner and follow the top seam to the oppostie corner, take that corner & the one from your mouth & Shake the duvet down, do up the poppers or buttons smooth out and then wait for the pets to jump all over it making it look unmade again!

Turn the cover inside out, put your hands inside to the end corners - grab the corners of the duvet and then flip the cover over and give it a good shake. Perfected during seven years of boarding school where we had to make up our own beds.

Quick and easy - make sure the duvet cover is inside out, put your arms in the cover and grab the 2 far corners of the duvet. place these 2 corners together with 2 corners of the duvet, and turn the cover inside out, which at the same time out the cover on the duvet! really easy!

When you take the duvet cover off to wash it, leave it inside out. Take it out of the dryer, spread your duvet across your bed, leaving the cover inside out put your hands inside and grab one bottom corner in each hand. Now grab a corner of the duvet in each hand through the cover, shake the duvet cover and duvet and the cover will reverse itself to the right way round and shuffle down the duvet. Takes one minute. Alternatively when we were little we used to get inside the cover and drag the duvet in with us. Took about an hour. Lol.

I have the duvet cover inside out and then put my arms in and grab the corners. i then grab the duvet and shake the cover over the duvet. I can do this in seconds with a single and a double, but not quite perfected a king size yet.

I have the ultimate method of doing the duvets at home..

here goes..

1. you have the cover inside out
2. you put you hands into the further top corners (so you are holding them on the inside)
3. you place your coners of the cover that you are holding onto the corners of the duvet.
4. shake the cover so that the inside become the outside...over the duvet
5. once you have got most the cover on the duvet just let go of the corners and go to the other two corners to pull the rest of the cover on.

Easy peesy!!
