Ok so here is the dream. Me and my current bf are living in a downstairs apartment of a two story building which has only 4 units. Now the units on the left have their own door and the right has it's own. I find out that an ex of mine that I had really strong feelings for is living in one of the apartments on the second floor diagonally across from me. I go up and into his apartment to kind of find something to remember him by when he walks through the front door catching me in the act. We say our hellos and talk about how much we miss each other and decide to go for a ride in his car. We get in and start driving away and in someone elses driveway we stop and start fooling around. But we stop and he tells me he doesn't want his girlfriend to know. I haven't seen this ex in about 2+ years. I know I miss him and wish I could see him again especially after the dream but does this mean anything when I had one before that that I don't remember?

ok just some added details about this. He has never had a girlfriend all though we both had bf's at the time we started dating so it was kind of a cheating situation. And yeah I guess I did kind of give myself over to him since we had planned to move to SC because we thought it would be the only way we could be together. He always treated me well and always promised to give me the moon. The only reason we broke up was because he didn't come to me with some drama he heard about me calling him a cry baby and not wanting to be with him. We came back to say good bye to our other bfs properly since we both just kind of left notes to them saying we were leaving. I guess I just found it odd since I woke up at 3:30 in the morning because of that dream.

The dream dictionary:
(1)Buildings are attitudes and belief we built based on our experiences
when there is someone else in the building it means you felt threaten by a part of the person's character you saw.
(2)being in a car symbolises your motivation. if you are the passenger in the car it could mean you gave yourself to him
(3)when you dream about sex/fooling around sexually it means you want to communicate with the person on an intimate level.
on the other hand,
my interpretation is you still long for him but you know that you have moved on.
update:
There's nothing more in the dictionary but from a psychology point of view, you are thinking of what it might be like to continue being with him but at the same time you know that you have mostly moved on. i too have this type of dreams about my exs and former very close friends.
A dream is where we sort out our internal conflicts that we are too afraid to sort out in real life/very difficult situation to sort out.
try having a cup of milk/non decaffeinated drinks a few minutes before you hit the sack. it will help you to relax your mind.

It sounds like when you guys were together that you were really content, so even though you have been broken up for a while you still think about him. I wouldnt read much into it even though i am heaps into dream analysis, i always get stuck when trying to analyse dreams involving past lovers.
The past is the past and you must be happy with your current bf as youre living together. things like that come up in dreams all the time for whatever random reasons
hope this made some kind of sense :)
sorry i rambled a bit :P

You may have dreams or I should say nightmares about your ex bf for the rest of your life.... When you dated him he wasn't very nice to you and you did not feel all that important. That fact is still continuing today because he did not want you to tell his present girlfriend. He is still belittling you and hurting you after being broken up for 2 years. He would have never changed and you would have always been 2nd best in his life to everything else... Stay with your present bf and forget your ex... He was not that good to you anyway..Was he?

Sounds like you still love him, exactly as you said in the dream. Alsd tells me that you would leave your current bf to be with him at any cost if you had the chance

When someone truly touches our hearts we never fully stop loving them. You know you can not be with him you just are having thoughts about him and your mind id processing them into dreams but you also know it would never work out because he is not the one for you. You want to remember him but you are not remembering him clearly. Your mind is trying to show you that it is OK that his memory is fading. Heal and be happy with the one you are with.

One interpretation: Your animus (male subconscious element) became presented as "gay" with the help of your dreaming wakeful, it is your waking subconscious. Making whoopee with a extra healthful case is clean: you're loving "changing your clothing;" this might nicely be a transition from animus to being concerned woman (why ladies like fidgeting with dolls, and if given a hearth engine, cuddle it). At this element, your animus is now not "gay"...because it rather is taking the lively, initiatory mode/flow. although, your animus is mixing with your accepted femininity, as you're cuddling the suitcase, the "changing of identity" which for women folk is predominantly considerable: a clean dress makes the girl sense plenty extra new, than does a clean extra healthful for the guy. it would desire to be which you're particularly considerate and shielding of your purity and emotions of affection and sexuality, so as which you prefer to "neuter" your animus. It simply sounds like unresolved issues but your mind understands it is over. It is said that you never fall "out" of love even though the situation is over.

Remember the Dickens line for Scrooge when he sees the ghost of partner Marley? "I fear you are more gravy than grave."
What you had for dinner probably has more bearing on your dream than any hidden message of what to do if you meet him again.
