If everyone asked and nobody answered, there'd be a clog of questions with no one who cared or gave a craphole

To prevent spamming. But you get 100 free points on joining. And when you pick a best answer for a question you asked, you get 3 points back.

You would think that losing points for questions would make people ask better questions but usually they just throw away their points on stupid _ss questions. I think maybe Yahoo was trying to get people to ask decent questions by taking points away every time you ask one. That' not always the case though.

Yeah many feel that way. It's a way to get everyone to take the time to answer. You can't ask without answering

i dont know,why do you get points for answering.I you didnt use them for asking what would you use them for,they would be all alone.....lol -x-
