Yep, friend. It can happen. My older sister has one child from getting pregnant while on the pill and so does my younger sister. You really do have to take them every day.

Well.... you could be pregnant or it could be as simple as a virus...

As to missing a period....it is possible for a woman to have a period in the beginning of pregnancy...
If you are very concerned about this, you may want to take a home pregnancy test. You could also get checked out & have a pregnancy test done by your doctor or local health center.

Regardless if you are pregnant or not...
While the pill can be a very effective (if taken properly) contraceptive, it can sometimes become ineffective when combined with certain medications... It is also doesn't provide any protection against any STD's. The best protection would be to take the pill & to use a condom.

FYI: In the last few years, studies in woman's heath have shown that woman do not need to have a period every month. A woman can take the pill for 3 to 4 months (avoiding the placebo) only having quarterly periods.

You should definitely take a test and see. I'm in a similar situation. I missed a couple pills during the last active week of my last (real) cycle. I doubled up on pills, but I didn't know that I was supposed to skip the placebos and start a new pack. I had sex during the week of my placebos, but I still got my period, so and everything seemed fine. This cycle, I missed a couple during the first week, but me and my boyfriend hadn't had sex since before my period, until a week after I missed the pills. We have been together for 5 years, and decided we wanted to start a family, so I stopped taking the pills at the end of the second week of active pills (I took my last pill August 27th). WE had unprotected sex on the 26th, 27th, and 29th. I got my withdrawal bleed on the 31st. Things haven't been feeling right (plus I was actually hoping I was pregnant), so I testedt his morning, and my test was positive.

I'm saying all of this to say that yes, you can get pregnant from incorrect pill use, and you shouldn't use your bleeding as a determination of pregancy (especially while on the pill). But if you are 5+ weeks pregnant, then test should have been positive by now. You could just be dealing with the hormonal ups and downs of incorrect pill use.

My stepmother got pregnant 3 times on the pill and she DID use it properly so if you forgot a pill or 3 then there is a huge chance you could be pregnant! Buy a over the counter test to make sure.

The pill is 99% effective when taken correctly. Since you missed a few, and had unproteced sex you could be pregnant. Take a test.

if you aren't sure, put a wellie on the little feller before you let him go paddling...
...the only way to be sure is to take the pill EVERY day you are meant to and NEVER forget and NEVER throw up...

...if you aren't sure and REALLY don't want a kid right now, then either suit up or don't do it!!!

LECTURE OVER: You may well be up the duff. If you feel pregnant, you very likely are pregnant. Go get a test & pee on the stick!!! (PS, your old life is over, get over it and move into your new life with grace and dignity!!!)

since you have already written everything I was going to say to you, I say it is VERY possible that you are pregnant.

Signs of pregnancy:
Nausea/vomiting
food cravings
cramps
spotting
backache
sore/tender breasts
a missed menstrual period
pulling/stretching feeling in stomach
raised basal body temp

You should be able to take a home pregnancy test now to determine if you are pregnant. Good luck!

anything can be possible the pill isn't 100% and being that you missed pills it could be that your pregnant. The only way for sure to tell is wait to see if you get your next period and if you don't get it make sure you get a pregnancy test to see if you are. You really won't know if your pregnant untill after you miss you next period.
