Hey Miggy,

Weighted average considers the min and max scores and adjusts to a scale of 100, if you are talking about comparing the class to each other. If you are talking about weighted quizzes and tests, then a weighted average might make a test is worth say 2 quizzes or 3, depends on the teacher. This gives Tests more importance.

Unweighted is the raw scores averaged.
