as it comes into the mess from this administation as a devertion with company's already staing mass reduction in work force I was shocked to hear yesterday that a company was going to reduce its work force by 10,000 jobsso that it can save 3 billon dolllars a year starting in 2008 go figure the reasoning behind that strong arm tactic any veiw on the timing of the anouncement would be welcomed on why in 2006 a company would declare such a blatent show of force before an election that threatens to deminish the ruling partys reign in office ?

ok here we go again if you see a post that you dont like you attack it when clinton was in office foreign relations were solid while clinton was in office there was a surplus not a deficit while clinton was in office the only thing he could be attacked on was his moral issues and as i remmember she was a willing participent so what was the problem and an otherthing what conspieracy and my grammer and spelling are not the point the question is about politics not personal attacks I feel that the jobs wont really be lost I believe it is a scare tactic delibratly layed out this far in advance so that enron companies of this administation will keep there political strings attached by saying that if there is a change in the policies then we willl retaliate by increasing unemployment at a time when the working class will need to have a stabile income and please fell free to respond to my horible grammer and spelling and dont address the question its typical behavior in politics

You mean like the stock market crash that Clinton left for Bush? No I don't see it.

In much the same way the stock market started it's downward spiral during Clinton's Administration, Bush will leave office with a massive middle class crisis. Foreclosure rates will be the worst since 1939 as 27% of the mortgages taken out over the last three years are ARMS. The working class live on a stagnant income and will not be able to afford the increase in their rates. Why do you think congress passed the bankruptcy law...to protect banks yet they are ignoring the working class.

It looks like the Dems are assuming they'll win and are setting up their blame already.
Has it ever been addressed in the NY Times (I don't read it) that during the 8 years Clinton was in office, the terrorists were working on 9-11? I haven't heard the Reps blame them, they are just trying to take care of the problem.
I wonder who Al Qaeda likes in office better....Clinton or Bush?
I wonder who they'd rather have won the election....Kerry or Bush?
Kerry or Clinton would have kept working on making sure America could enjoy the hedonism.

Starting... more like well on their way. I am not a party person, but I think our current administration has well outdone any before it in sinking American standards. We are in financial and political distress. We are now perceived more as a bully than a leader. And we are still expected to come to everyone's resuce. Damage control needs to be done and it is hard to say how long, and if it can be done.

Right. It's all one big conspiracy. Businesses don't really care about profits, only politics.

Instead of spending your time coming up with lame conspiracy theories, how about spending some time listening to CNBC, reading the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Barron's... Not only will you learn what really drives the economy, but you'll probably improve your spelling and grammar as well.
