The same as what I think about all religions:
I believe everyone as individuals should have their own beliefs that they have concluded from constant learning.
For the benefit of themselves, I think that no one should limit themselves by only believing one thing and disregarding and preaching that they know the "truths".
I believe people shouldn't contradict themselves (for example preaching; Jesus forgave everyone!..... You're all going to Hell if you don't surrender yourself to Jesus?).
I think that we as our species should for the sake of evolving and self betterment, never stop questioning, learning and CHANGING in our ways and beliefs as we become more educated and learn what actions will benefit us. I also think that whenever human beings allow themselves to have another human being decide our actions and laws, to rely on another human being to make our decisions for us and our beliefs; we need not look any further than the mirror, if we are looking for someone or something to blame. However I do not think blaming anything will be of use, other than to inforce and insure that these kinds of primitive religions will stay around, when primitive behaviours like this are displayed. I think that this is a trait that religions all over have reveled in, and shared the most in common.
So to sum up, I think that with anyone that believes they know the truths, that will "Save us All.." might consider that if what they preach is Truthfully the Truth; then they would not need to preach, convert, or talk about it to others, as if it was genuinely the truth then everyone would come to the same conclusion eventually.
I also would like to note while on this subject that the reason they do not come to this conclusion, is because they believe that these people will Anger their vengeful God, or they will go to Hell, or so on and so on of Violence and Vengence. These religions are ones in which I can not possibly condone, or find any rational thought gone into these, all I find is only emotions of hate, fear and violence. I feel very sorry for anyone who believes their God, or a creator of this beautifull world, is so dreadfully violent. I think anyone who thinks they have to constrain themselves and become a servent, like they are from the times when religion was created, and live in fear, is very sad.
I think when we just stop and look at the scenarios of this world, then all we can conclude, is that we do not know anything about this world, only ourselves and the only thing we share in common is the want for better in our own and others lives, which is ultimately for happiness. Other then that, things like; Gods or creators, intelligence, evolution, why we are here, what everything is, etc are all things that we do not know! And is something that we learn, the animal and our own species learn and understand things through education! Therefore if we want to know the truth. If we want to stop being confused. Then we can't settle on beliefs, or deny other information, or simply come to conclusions that make sense at that point for that time period; and then call that the truth. Rather we should as part of the creation, and the creator; take a responsable approach and never say that we know the truth about everything in the world. (The only time there is exceptions with this; is values, like when we question something harmfull as being the truth or not. When it comes to basic principals of what is the most beneficial actions to ourselves and others. Any harmfull actions of any sort, short or long term will be unexceptable.)

As for your further discription/ second comment. My answer is this; The same way people believe in any other religion, philosophy, or their own belief. How is a spaceship coming from the sky to save the worshipers ( non sinners), different from people going up into the clouds to live with a giant man with a white beard and in a greek robe? Or a creature going around punishing people who have done bad, and helping people who have done good? Or going to different levels of heaven, where the highest heaven can only be males, because females aren't allowed with the higher people? Or converting to a particular religion, where their God will then come and viciously kill all of the sinners (in other words the people who have lived a good life, but are not of their religion) and turn their world into a paradise, where they will run mentally unstable and happy with the animals, and pat lions and feed bears flowers. Or how the Gods got into samuri sword fights with eachother, where they killed and beat eachother, which created Earth. So now we are meant to worship them, although the females and other races and religions are looked at as lower and unrespected people Etc. All of these religions are the main contributing religions of today! How are they any different, or less irrational or disturbingly mentally unstable? There are many hundreds more. All contradicting, all supposed to be the truth, and all the same as this one. The word Alien is just known as God and the word SpaceShip is just known as Heaven.
There was a good quote I loved by Da Da Artist Marce'l Duchamp that went; "There are No solutions, Because there is No problem".
I believe this sumed up the whole debate with religion. Hope that answered your question. :]

How can rational people think that the trains will ever run on time or that their new love will last forever, or that the church is not their solely to control us or the next government will sort out the problems in our society or that they will feel fine in the morning after there 8th beer....
People aren't rational and they have to beleive in something

The word Scientology, conceived by L. Ron Hubbard, comes from the Latin scio which means “know” or “distinguish,” and from the Greek word logos which means “reason itself” or “inward thought.” Thus it means the study of wisdom or knowledge. It means knowing how to know. Scientology, however, is defined as the study and handling of the spirit in relationship to itself, universes and other life.

Yeah, weird, huh? Kinda like thinking that some big invisible man in the clouds is gonna strike you down with lightning for breaking one of his laws. Or that the same invisible guy (going by a different name) has asked that his believers strap explosives to their bodies and murder everyone who doesn't believe the same as they do. OR...that the same guy (under yet another name) will condemn people to an eternity in hell for eating certain types of meat. It's all just so bizarre, isn't it?

I've never personally met a Scientologist but from hearing about it in the media (like that nut Tom Cruise) I believe they must all be lost souls searching for hope where it doesn't exist.

I don't think that scientology is all about that. It's about kinesiology and kinetics. It's an alternative religion that has better laws and beliefs than any other. This link has more information on scientology.

I dont know much about it but Tom Cruise seems to have gone a bit mental since he took it up.
So I think I shall avoid it.

I like to meet them to put faults in there beliefs. There are a lot of them. People have their own creeds, but this one has more wrong with it than right. Sorry to those who like it.
