I've 2, one perm and one that will eventually grow out. Looking back I think **** what was I thinking so thankfully when the one grows out no problem there. The other, well I'm considering laser surgery next year but at £60 a pop I hope it doesn't take too long to go.

I had one tattoo for several years, and I'd always wanted to get more. Now i've had more (in the last three months) and i'm addicted...they're all themed and relate to one another - i'm kind of coding them, making them more "cerebral" than just random pics...! I've gone for things like disguised names in chinese characters, french texts, animals symbolic to my birth year/kids names etc - even numbers that are important...they all tie together to make one piece of art - Kind of Da Vinci type symbolism to me and those that know me... If you do get chinese characters though, have someone chinese tell you what they mean.... a friend of mine has "i'm an asshole" in chinese on his arm, thinking it spells out his wifes name.... funny, but tragic at the same time!

Well done tattoos are lovely, but some idiots have no clue about taste. I am very old, but on my next birthday I have promised myself a couple of sophisticated tattoos, and I am sure yours is gorgeous. xx I have to laugh when people mark their bodies declaring undying love to someone - what happens when they fall out ?

Well I think its only classed as body art if it means something to you and its not some picture that looks like a duck and meant to be a swan.

I depends on what you get and where. If it's something beautiful or cool, then it's all good. But don't get a name of your loved one or some crap like that.

i think that each tattoo that a person gets should tell a story or have a story attached to it - I think getting inked just because you want to is stupid - it should be a form of expression!
