........Boyshorts for sure, Thongs are waaaaay out. Could never understand why a girl would wear them, they make them look like prostitutes. You have to have the figure of a model to carry a thong off.

I love both boyshorts and hipsters, as far as sexier it depends on what color and material you are wearing, such as a black nylon panty is sexier then a white cotton panty.

It all depends what you are wearing. Some outfits (tight trousers/skirts) are better worn with thongs.
I love wearing my hipster/boyshorts when dressed casually as they are so comfortable to wear and don't require constant bum picking!
If you are looking to dress up for your partner then french knickers all the way, with stocking, corset...... you get my drift.

depends on body shape
boy shorts are great for people who are relatively straight they add curve and dimension but they make women with fuller hips look bottom heavy in which case a thong especialy one like those put out by Hanky Panky are the sexiest option
