If you are using Windows XP, right click the desktop wallpaper and choose Properties. Click the Desktop tab and click the Customise Desktop button. In the dialog box, check the my computer icon. It should work. If it does not, use Tweak UI. (www.microsoft.com/powertoys)

Right click on any empty space on your desktop. A menu will appear . Click on properties, click the desktop tab at the top of the next screen, then click on the customize desktop button. Click the check box beside My Computer. Click OK to close out each window and when all of them are closed MY Computer will reappear on your desk top.

Simple - Right click on your desktop > properties > desktop > customize desktop > and tick the My Computer Icon > OK > OK.

Start > Control Panel > Display > Desktop (tab) > Customize Desktop

You will then see tick boxes - just tick the one you want.

If you have XP, just go to the start menu and go over to the my computer link, then right click it and choose "create shortcut"

You can get your 'My computer' back from recycle bin if you did not delete it from it.

you can drag anddrop from there to desktop
in xp
