She is going through puberty obviously. My son (11yrs) is getting hints of pimples now too and I am putting him on Arbonne Clear Advantage. My sister has been using it for a year now and loves it. She likes it much better than Proactiv. The Clear Advantage set comes with a supplement to help nourish skin from the inside out. Also try the Intelligence Personalizer for controlling oil throughout the day, I LOVE it! It is like a pressed powder, but is not made with mineral oils that will aggravate problem skin and has a green base that minimizes redness and works with all skin tones!

My daughter has had pimples on her face for a few years now and she is only 9 going on 10. I have used Eucerin Cream with the dark blue lid. It really helps her although what my daughter has may not necessarily be called acne. You could give it a try though as the alternatives, acne medications, are hard on young skin and will most likely dry it out. You might even try Aloe Vera and a detoxifying tea...from a health food store. Good luck.

Sleep on a clean pillow case every few days, you can put tea tree oil on it at night, use the mint julep mask t wice a week. That really helps. Also make sure you exfoliate twice a week to get rid of dead skin cells. Make sure your clenser has acne medicine and most importantly drink plenty of water. That will help the most. I used to have problem skin, but now it is smooth and clear. I also put baking soda mixed with water on my face nad take a shower. it helps to exfoliate. That is what makes it baby soft. Good luck. What works for one person might not work for others. Using witch hazel as an astrigent also helps some people. I know the baking soda will get your skin noticably smooth right after you do it.

It sounds like your daughter has oily skin. She'll need to wash her face with a pH balanced wash (non-soap). This should open the blocked pores. An effective acne cream will kill bacteria and help to heal the pores.

The wash and cream will need to be applied according to the directions otherwise her skin may become flaky due to lack of moisture.

I am neither a doctor or a pharmicist so please consult with one or both of these to gain the right advice and obtain the most effective products.
