You gotta be kidding.....to pick one would be a sin. There is no best comedian. So many people would say Sam Kinneson, but I thought he was awful. Some would say Richard Prior, but I didn't like him. Some would say Chris Rock, but he's too edgey for the white folks. Nobody would say Kathy Griffin or Carol Liefer or Rosie O'Donnell or Roseanne Barr or any of the females. I saw Jerry Seinfeld live and everyone walked out of the show saying how bad he was, which I agreed. Kevin James is really good, but of all time?????

Cant really say greatest of all time because time still marches on. But for their time I would say:
Richard Pryor
Paul Mooney
Eddie Murphy
Robin Williams
Up and coming I would say:
Kat Williams is doing his thing.
