No body can be free from fear. It is one of the emotions for preserving one's self. Every animal assesses the opponent and appraise the situation before attacking. There is no such thing as absolute fearlessness. In man, fearlessness is a cultivated behaviour. I have realised that many people sound bellicose only to scare away the opponent, without any intention to really to force the issue. In such cases, the bellicosity cannot be mistaken for courage. I for one would not advise total fearless or reckless behaviour. Caution is the key. In a given situation, if aggression is thrust upon your shoulders, you must be prepared to face it. Voluntarily inviting trouble and showing aggression is foolishness.

It all depend on the fear you are experiencing, some phobias are a defect on some people and not on others!
It is a psychological matter on how strong your determination is to fight the situation of your fear: It is very natural to fear, being confronted with a lion. So it is the some being confronted with death.
Phobias and realities are two different things. What comes natural - being presented as real fear - that means any person is subject to fear, scared being in the situation, you must understand that this kind of fear a person can not overcome it.
Phobias are associated with physical and health problems. e.g.
1.Take a fat man and make him walk the plank. It is obvious that he will be scared. Nothing is wrong with him.
2. If a person is ill, it will be scared of doing anything!
3. Being too old, won't help.
4. Mental problems, can be cured by a psychiatrist. e.g.
A. Not being able to associate oneself with others.
B. Any kind of phobias.
C. Sexually, not presented normal, any form.
Hope this can help you.

This is a question which I wanted to resolve since long until I visited a beach.

I returned from the beach yesterday (don't get me wrong, I am just trying to narrate the whole thing). I always learn from nature and people around.....its the most integral part of my learning process. However, the place I had visited was a beach in the Bay of Bengal and sadly, on the same day of my reaching there, a "high alert" warning was sounded and no one was allowed in the sea. The waves were a sight to behold - its was too scary. No one was daring to go, I was frightened too. While I was sitting in the balcony of my Hotel, I saw a young man (maybe 18-19 years old) readying to have a swim in the sea. And the technique he used taught me a vital lesson -

"You cannot tame a horse without riding on it."

I don't really know if this is a quotation, but seeing that man riding effortlessly on the waves, I called my wife, showed her the fearlessness of the man and said the above sentence.

To overcome or tame fear, you MUST ride on it/dare it.

When I say "MUST"/"DARE", there is a condition tagged to it - the ride must be well-planned/calculated - not rushed into; because a well-planned/calculated risk eliminates chances of failure. Remember two things - 1. EAGLES DARE (but) 2. FOOLS RUSH IN.

Fear is nothing but your inner phobias toward particular object or happening. U can overcome your fear by just accepting that you are fearing. Just accept whatever you are fearind from and relaxed your mind and just think why are u behaving like that . After that make control to yourself that it is nothing but it is a matter of subjetless. So think positively act positively and behave positively. God Bless You. And I want to add that don't make this fear your weakness

You can't overcome fear in general but you can conquer A fear by confronting it everytime it scares you but I don't mean like confront a murderer if you're afraid of them. Like spiders, the dark and stuff like that. Everytime a situation arises, don't back down and confront it. Fear of murderers and death and those things can't really be conquered as such other than simply accepting that that is how it works and you can't do anything about it.

You dont need to overcome fear but embrace it...that is what life is all about. Hold it close so that it cannot escape but go forward anyway.

"Perfect love casts out fear"

We're generally not afraid of something or someone we love as much or more than ourselves. And believe it or not, true, selfless love isn't a "gushy" feeling, but a decision.

So fear can be dealt with and completely cast out, but it takes some practice (and definitely some fellowship time with the Lord, who is the source of love), to live a life free of fear.
