I used to study after I got home from work and before I went to bed, because all my classes were early in the morning. When I had evening classes and could study in the morning that's when I studied.

That depends on your lifestyle and when your body is most alert.
For some that may be the middle of the night. If you study for one test until 4 in the morning and the test is at nine, that is not studying, but cramming, better to study a little each night. Your body also needs a good nights rest before a test.

That time is good for studying in which you find yourself active for mental work. Moreover, mere reading of theory will make you feel sleepy after sometime howsoever hard you try to keep yourself awake. So you understand what to do!

before you go to sleep. bec. sleeping enhances the information you got from studying. try it and you'll find that when you have studied your lessons before sleeping time and then review again the next day, you'll see that the information will pop out to your mind without thinking so hard.

Experts suggest that the first half of the morning is when the brain is most receptive and retentive. I guess that's if you've had a good night's sleep!
