The leadership is becoming blantly outward in it's two-faced lie. Arabia and the UAE are tight buddies with the Bush boys, yet he keeps claiming we are fighting a conceptual enemy and we are in some "war" although it's a non declared struggle of supposed "feelings" such as pre-emptive strike. "Military operations have ceased" was delared in Iraq after three weeks. This is all just more BS lip service- the country and the world have never been more divided. The agenda here is really altogether different than what is seems. "They" want everyone pumped up with agitation to distract us while the screws are turning, and we are losing all of our freedoms and ability to compete against the "machine". It is the ultimate corporate victory to destroy any competition. People with freedom are that competition.
"Democracy is on the march"
yes...unfortunately it is "away" from where we are supposed to believe it's going towards. No one can "bomb" another into becoming a democratic civilization.

it's time for change!

prosperity would be good for corporations, we would have more to spend in a free market- I don't know why they would want to drain us into poverty and extinction. Where will the customer base come from then? Communism failed economically for this reason. Even the "big boys" are heading into thier own "closed canyon" of failure.

What is needed is genius business to prosper like crazy, remember the 'dotcom" boom? we need times like that again- but leadership is not encouraging that.

Weapons are expensive, our tax is spent, blown up and its gone- people are hurt, lives changed and ruined- some say it's good for the economy- but it's only a little bit for weapons sellers- and it's also not good in the long term.

A farm tractor runs for years, the same money as one medium bomb- so many people have lost that little voice in their head that tells the truth.

IT"S TIME FOR CHANGE

There is no doubt in my mind that they play on this chosen people thing and these religious fanatics here like Pat Robertson and many other clowns of this type, the so-called religious right spread this non-sense and support Israels stealing of the Palestinian land and the terror campaign against their neighbors. If after all of this they think they're going to heaven, they must be prayng to a different God,than the one we serve!

I've pondered that same thing. Using US and other western nations--to protect them and look the other way under the guise of the Promised Land, or the Chosen People concept. Not that I disagree totally with the concept, I just think they use it politically to their favor.

This is a question seldom considered in the US. Israel is thought of as a secular democracy by most here. Americans who see Israel's religious motivations or rationales agree with them. These tend to be Jews or Christian fundamentalists.

The promised land is not a concept, but a known fact.
