Govt.'s prescribed rate for Hiring of Auto or Taxi in Delhi region?

For Autos: It is Rs. 8/= minimum (for about 1.5 kilometer distance or part thereof) and then Rs. 3.50 for each additional kilometer.

For Taxi: It is Rs. 13/= minimum (for about 1.5 kilometer distance or part thereof) and then Rs. 7/= for each additional kilometer.

the auto fare at Delhi are Rs.8 for the first Km.and 3.50 for every subsequent Km. travelled till 11 p.m, from there till 5A.M in the morning it is additional 25% on the meter reading in addition to this Rs. 5/- apiece for luggage barring shopping bags or attache case or office bag waiting charges are Rs. 20/- per hour extra. to avoid all this you can go to a pre paid booth available at all the Rly.Stations or the Airport and have a prepaid slip bypassing all the hassles of checking meters and the Kms. driven. and have as safe and hassle free drive.
The taxi will charge you Rs.15/- for the first kilo meter and there after Rs.7/- for every Km. travelled rest all remains the same.

Revised Auto Rickshaw Fares

(Effective from 05/02/2003)


The fares chargeable by the operators of the auto-rickshaws in national Capital Territory of delhi shall be as under:-
Auto-Rickshaw Rs.8 for first Kilometer (upon downing the meter) and thereafter Rs.3.50 per Kilometer for every additional Kilometers
Night Charges 25% of the Fare(11.00PM to 5.00 AM)
Waiting Charges Rs.20 per hour or part thereof (subject to minimum of 15 min stay)
Luggage Rs.5 per piece except for shopping bags or a small attaché case

Revised Taxi Fares

(Effective from 01/07/2003)

Taxis(Black & Yellow Top) Rs.13/- for first Kilometer (upon downing the meter) and thereafter Rs.7/- per Kilometer for every additional Kilometers
Night Charges 25% of the Fare(11.00PM to 5.00 AM)
Waiting Charges Rs.20 per hour or part thereof (subject to minimum of 15 min stay)
Luggage Rs.10/- per piece except for shopping bags or a small attaché case
