I am trying to connect 2 usb extensions to one of my usb cables. My device works when I add one 5m usb cable extension but doesn't when the 3rd extension is added.

Does this mean you can only extend the cable once?

Any useful advice would be helpful.

The maximum distance for USB connections is 5 meters. If you get it to work with one extension, you are already going well beyond the design specification. There are extenders that can go beyond that length, but you will generally be limited to USB 1.1 speeds.

Yes adding on cables makes the connection weaker But you can buy a 15m cable extension.
