Societies with White people as a majority are cautious/ wary and even prejudice against people born domestically but of another nationality. e.g. Indians in the UK are hardworking, academic but yet are still subject to the same racism blighting Muslims and peoples of other skins.

Jobs are harder to get, education at a lower tier, laws that promote postive action yet Media and debates on immigration are focused on & remembered more, Police & institutional racism, monies that councils/ neighbourhoods recieve for various outreach/ regeneration purposes to name some valid points. it is here that favouratism to communities show unless these communities stir up/ degrade

I believe society is built to help people from different backgrounds in jobs/ education/ health etc but there are glass ceilings which keep people 'in their place'. Do you agree?

ONLY PEOPLE WITH GOOD POINTS PLZ... PEOPLE WITH GENUINE AND GOOD POINTS OF ARGUMENT AS THIS MAY BE USED FOR ACADEMIC RESEARCH... NO *******!!!

I think our society has been corrupted by the "we feel guilty" concept making it so that someone of a race other than white can claim they've been discriminated against. I'm white and I'm not a racist. I think people should be judged on their merits and accomplishments and not the color of their skin but when a particular race seems to always be claiming discrimination even when an action is justified, it really burns me.

I know a guy who was a manager at a company and he had an employee come in intoxicated. The employee was infact black and the guy wrote him up, made him sign a paper saying that he did come in drunk and if it happened again that he would be terminated. A year later the guy came in drunk again. He was fired and he was told why he was fired. This guy filed a lawsuit claiming that he was fired because he was black. Why did he claim that? Because so many others have used it when they screwed up but yet sued someone claiming discrimination because the company had no documentation to back why they fired the person.

You make some good points. What I gather is the reason is this. The media plays up certain sensational events. Sometimes they involve minorities. To most or a lot, this is their only exposure to minorities hence, they associate ALL minorities of that race to that behavior.
I think Asians are for the most part, low key. Therefore, most of the people have a favorable position toward them. And they make good food.

Some people are racists and bigots. It's there and probably won't go away unless we turn all beige or something...Even then, maybe not because just look how many countries have different ethnic groups (same color, same language, same looks) that hate each other and discriminate against each other.
The only thing you can do is do your thing, live your life and hopefully teach your close ones tolerance and respect for other people..

They are different from the people who are in charge.Society is not built up to help minorities it is meant to make them think that they can be anything they want. All society depends on keeping one race enslaved to another in some shape or form. Here in America it was blacks, then the irish and italians, now its poor white trash, blacks and illegals.

because ur a MINORITY...simple

In India, White are treated nicely ? can a white dude marry and indian girl with no problems from her family..or better yet a black guy..

Ur a minority, it is the same with black people in the states..yes we want peace, equality, good jobs, good pay etc. etc..but this is an unreachable goal.. All other race beside white people will always be on the defensive..

Just live your life to its fullest extent. dont sweat it,
life is short

actually your point of view is right but i guess we are in a world which is resistant to any changes, people who are stubborn and no matter how you try to convince them, even though you are right, they do not listen and you will see that in the answers
We are in the age of racism, that's what i am seeing today
