A good start would be getting hold of a few good book reviews, and reading them: pay close attention to brevity, substance, assessment or evaluation, format and different styles adopted by different reviewers. keep reading reviews, you'll soon develop into a good reviewer: of course, you must be reading a lot (of books!)! It's important to review your own writings and edit them a few times before finalising, if possible, with the help of friends!
