Part One;
Equation: 3x+4y=6
Variable : x
Result : x = 1/3 ( 6 - 4y )
Part Two;
Equation: 3x+4y=6
Variable :y
Result : y = 1/4 ( 6 - 3x )
Good Luck.

It is a linear equation having two unknowns x and y. You can find out the value of x in terms of y or the value of y in terms of x.
Thus, 3x +4y = 6
=> 3x = 6 - 4y
=> x = ( 6 -4y)/3
or 3x + 4y =6
=> 4y = 6 -3x
=> y =(6 - 3x)/4
putting any value of x, you can find out the value of y and vice versa.

3X + 4Y = 6
If it is integer
Y=0 and X=2
3(2) + 4(0) = 6
Y=3 and X=-2
3(-2)+4(3)=6
(-6) +12=6
Y=9 and X=-10
3(-10) + 4(9) = 6
(-30) + 36 = 6
Y=6 and X=-6
3(-6) + 4(6) = 6
(-18) + 24 = 6
for Y mod 3 =0 there is always have X which integer value
If it is linier
3X + 4Y = 6
3X = 6 - 4Y
X =(6-4Y)/3
X = 2-(4/3)Y

if you need to put 3x+4y=6 into y=mx+b format:
4y = 6 - 3x <== subtract 3x from both sides
y = 6/4 - (3/4)x <== divide by 4 to isolate y
y = 3/2 - (3/4)x <==simplify improper fractions
y = -(3/4)x + 3/2 <== use commutative prop to put into proper format

This means the representation of a straight line where the line goes through (0,6/4) and (2,0)
It's easy, when you like to get the coordinates of the straight line from this kind of equation, just put x = 0, and get y = 6/4, so one coordinate through which the line passes is (0, 6/4). Similarly other one is (6/3,0) or (2,0).
Now you connect this two coordinates and extend the straight line both directions, and add arrows(>) to both directions to represent the straight line 3x+4y=6

depends on what you are solving for
if you're solving for x then.. X = (6-4y)/3
if you're solving for y then .. Y = (6-3x)/4
