no! in general if a sportive is good then he should be payed properly,if he is just a shamateur then he should be payed less,the point is that every sportive should be payed after his merit,no matter of the sport he throws oneself into!
so in football,the king of all sports,if a footballer is goodish then he should practise harder,but if he's already one of the best,then he deserves all the money in the world!

It is the sport played in more countries and with the more leagues.

Yes I Do Agree, but the reason they arent is because the NBA,NFL and MLB are turning into corperate GIANTSand therefor can and will pay the biggest dollars to lure talent.
