He was a great man and his loss will be felt by many who enjoyed watching him and also by his family and friends and also the people he saved when he was filming off Baja.

Steve Irwin was a PLEASURE to watch!
He was an inspiration to ALL, and showed us that God's creatures are not to be feared (yet also not to be messed with)
He left this earth in the way that he would have wanted to!
I pay tribute to his wife and children, and wish them all the best in life!
I hope someday, someone can give something back to his family as great a gift as he had given to all of us!
Crikey Steve, we love you

my only message would be to those whom he left behind....
Terry
Be strong not only for yourself but for others also, we all know who and what he was, but, for you Terry and your babies, you and your family have educated us, opened our eyes and entertained us for decades, as all great aussie's will prove, we're here to hold you up when you need us the most, that's just the aussie way.
I'm deeply saddened by this accident, as I live half hour away from Port Douglas. Not to mention you could just see that Steve & Terry were soul mates....... She'll be lost without him. We just all need to band together and keep on letting that young family know we still give a dam everyday when we think of them.

He was a great man, no doubts.I was shocked hearing his sudden demise, the same way he presented himself, with lots of energy and enthusiasm in explaining and showing us what he loved doing .
We will miss him
