they both have their good and bad daughters less likely to do some crazy stuff they show their feelings so you do not have to guess what they feel or are thinking but on the other hand they are more emotional can have a very bad attiude and think the world revolves around them. Then there are sons they are less likely to have the attuide and can occupy themselves preety good but if they get bored they are more likely to do some crazy stunt.I know this from experince I have a son and daughter my son will jump over anything on his bike drives me crazy because it scares me to death my daughter is very senstive she will cry at the drop of a hat I will say my son is easier to make happy .but my son is the stubborn one the only way he learns is to fall or get hurt he doesn't believe me when I say do not do that you will get hurt.it is a toss up they both have their good and bad I say just love them no matter what a boy or girl and always be there for them and in the end they will turn out just the way you wanted sucessful and happy

Men vs Women? Boys vs Girls? What do you mean? This looks to me like like a rather gleeful invitation for a "battle of the sexes"!
I guess you might be innocently asking what sex of child people would like to have but, then again, I'd say even an answer to that would be riddled with people's assumptions about gender (eg what girls and boys "typically" enjoy doing). Some people, for example, might say they'd like a little daughter to play dress-ups with but, obviously, this is not an activity that only girls enjoy so there is no reason why having a son would mean this particular parental pleasure would be denied.
Obviously the "Family Name" issue has traditionally played a role in the preference for sons. Personally, I'd love to see us all going double-barelled and then having the option to lop off a name when we reach adulthood. Each to their own but if I ever have children, they will take both my name and my partner's.

I have two sons and love them to bits, but, I do worry!
Well if they get married or live with a girl or just get a girl pregnant (hopefully not) and then break up with the girl, then It might be difficult seeing any of our grandchildren (not for a while yet I hope)
If you have girls and the same thing happens, then you would have more chance of being in the lives of any children they had.

I have a daughter, and she really should be registered as a battlefield nuclear weapon.........
So theoretically if I had a son, none of us would be here right now...
(Love my daughter to bits, all the same...)

I couldn't say it as a "competition", but my opinion is...
Daughters are easier to cope with when they are young. They tend to be calmer and less hyperactive. Also quieter (with a daughter you avoid machine gun and helicopter landing noises!)
But as they grow up, daughters will always bring more worry to their parents, as they are more likely to be hurt, being the "fairer sex". You worry less about sons - they are the tough ones.
Just my opinion though!

I have two daughters and one stepdaughter, so I couldn't comment. But I know this: you love all your children equally, no matter what.
