If you want to use a motoring analogy, just think of the cost of a new model and the depreciation - it is invariably cheaper to keep an old model well maintained. And perhaps don't thrash it as much as when it was first new - and pay more attention to the bodywork.

Hmmn... tough one..... I was going to say scrap her for spare parts... but then again if she is a lovely old vintage model... then just let her gather dust in the garage and then crank her up and take her out on the odd Sunday.

Meanwhile, get a lovely new shiny model to do your washing!

If your car is knackered, you are probably a bad and careless driver...
If your wife is 50, you must confess... you are not a lovable vintage model too...
Love is not a car-race!

Revamp the old model lad. The younger modles don't have the same character. They go well but once you seen under the bonnet of one you've seen em all.

Don't be the idiot your screen names claims! There is still treasure in that woman...treat her with that love, respect, and tenderness that she deserves for putting up with you for all the years you've been married. Does your word, your vow mean anything to you?

trouble is when you get a new one you still have to keep up the payments on the old one unless you can permantly scrap her.
