If you break ankles, you may be ejected from the game for unsportsmanlike conduct, so I would suggest you do the basics better than the other team. Run more in practice than your opponents do. Lift more weights to be stronger than your opponents. Practice shooting more than your opponents and bring it all on game day. Be physical enough to use up all your fouls but don't hurt people. It's bad for your Karma and bad for your team if you get ejected.

Before I get into it, just remember that it's not about making your defender fall. It's about beating him to the basket. Getting the first step. Don't be like the street ballers you see and do all these crazy combo moves for no reason. Dribble to get somewhere. Drive and step back. Drive and fake a hard step and dribble it through the legs. The simple moves are the best moves. One street move I do recommend is the sham-god. Push the ball forward with one hand, fake a hard driving step, and pull it back with the other hand to set yourself up with either a shot or a drive. If it doesn't get your defender too well than you should give a head fake at the basket and act like you're about to go up for a jumper by bringing your other hand to the ball like you're about to shoot. And the defender will most likely jump, which gives you a perfect driving opportunity.

your aiming to low. Go for the nuts. That will put them out of action for a while. However if it's ladies basketball the thigh is a good target. Watch the longest yard for tips.
