Cheesy pick up lines dont work, but what do you feel really breaks the ice?

an ice picker or a sledge!

On a serious note- i found that when someone insults you in a not so malicious way.... you kind of warm to them for a really fkd up reason..... i don't know why- but it does break alotta lotta ice

Being absolutely genuine is the best way to break the ice. Remember each of us are very special in our own right, and that means we don't need to pretend to be anyone but our true selves. Also being respectful to the other person, and allowing them the time to tell you about themselves is important. Sometimes we are so focused on ourselves and creating the right image, we put the other person down - they very one we are supposedly impressing! - remember 2 ears - one mouth - so listen twice as much as you talk, and you'll go just fine!

Humor always breaks the ice. For those that can spot the humor in any situation it is a sure thing 99% of the time.

Honesty about being a bit nervous, because the other person is feeling the same way. So be the first to get it out in the open and you both feel more at ease.

I find that a pickaxe works pretty good to break ice. Oh, wait......

.....you mean as in conversationally breaking the ice. Be yourself. That's all you can do.
