I don't think that their is anything wrong with people who choose to be this way, why should they be judged for being happy? For those of you that are to busy being judge mental, that is what the word "Gay" means. I think people who judge people who choose to be this way are no different from the KKK. Hate is hate no matter who it is that is doing the hating. I think people should stop being so damn closed minded!!!!

OK, lets get this straight.
In the area where I live in Yorkshire, UK a lot of my friends dont go out of their way at all to accept gays in any way shape or form they simply get on with it. Even the question you posed is homophobic as it states that a fear of gays exists, which is totally wrong!
I'm a gay boy and i love straight men and women and gay men and women. I love anyone who is different. People used to fear other poeples diffferences but in a world of terrorism we just get on with it and live each day as it comes.
so whether your young, old, gay, straight just get on with it 'cos you only get one life and the most precious person is YOU! Look after yourself and respect your feelings and if you're gay or straight or whatever (and according to scientists, 60% of people are bi in some way shape or form), just get on with it and live your life. so it safely and have a great time.
Noone fears Homos at all. homophobia is an irrational fear which is put into people through their teaching and can take a while to unlearn.
Homophobes are NOT bad people they simply have a few issues like everyone else. I cant swim, scared of heights ETC.
Its a very 'uncool' attitude to ask naive questions and state if homos are good or bad cos you just cant put them in any good or bad box! were all as decietful and happy and sad and joyous and angry and as human as anyone else with a human body and a human brain ...;)

People didn't "choose" to be that way, that is actually one of the major issues. If it were found 100% for certain that it is not a choice the first issue to come up would be that "God" did make them that way and many would not accept that. Afterward there would be a huge rush by certain groups to try to "cure" them(as if it isn't already happening now) that would lead to other types of eugenics issues which in many cases are on very shaky grounds morally speaking.

I think that if people would get to know the person before they judged the world would be so much better. Most people only think of the bedroom anyway not the person. If we all only thought of that it would be a sick world. I think it is your right to be whatever you want to be without being judged. Unless they have to answer for your choices they shouldn't have a right to make them or criticize you for making them

I choose not to be gay I choose to be g0y but I am bisexual by nature. I can't change my attraction to men but I can change my actions and what I do with those attractions. Judgmental people are just responding to their own fears brought on by the stereotypical gay male and lesbian female they see on TV and in the news. The quite ones, the moral ones, the people of integrity they do not see because the vocal minority screams for all the attention. Our liberal media eats it up because they secretly want the gay community to be portrayed this way so that their own liberal agendas can be advanced. Also the porn industry feeds it too by advancing their industry through exploitation of young men marketing its filth to gays and closeted bisexuals alike. It is a sick society we live in. All this sickness and depravity brings us all into ruin. Aids is rampant, STD's are on the rise. We are truly living through our civilizations decline.

first of all these people dont chose to be they are such kind..
for better or for worse
its just that they are speaking their beliefs and enacting
hate is common sense for these things shakes our social structure
to the core...
to accept them will take a lot of time and courage
