How much flair is too much? After every basket, every dish, every steal, every board, every everything, there's a celebration, a taunt, a look, a stern glance, a jersey that's popped. Why?

Is it just because these guys are so young? Sure, the average age of the guys on the team is 24, unlike the first much older, much better 1992 Dream Team filled with veteran dudes like Jordan and Barkley, but is that any real excuse to so constantly make a big deal out of things that really aren't?
Especially Dwyane Wade. He could have performed better in the worlds if he wasn't trying to be so fantastic. Too bad the refs there aren't like NBA refs who would give him 20 fouls a night just because of the name on the back of his jersey.

all i can say is team USA needed me to win gold... it was hard for me to watch melo, bron and wade hog the ball in the world championships... it should've been ME hoggin' the ball because that's what i'm good at... it should be ME hoggin' the ball and hoggin' the spotlight... i hate it when these youngsters get more attention than i do...

no they weren't, they played there game. Larry Brown wanted them to play the international way and they were beyond horrible, coach K wanted them to play there way, and they were a game from Gold, plus they beat Argentina. They will be fine. By the way, the 1992 team is why we have a hard time competing. They made the game glamorous and famous to these countries that now beat us, and the won by an adverage of 40 points, but during games players asked for their autograph, star players. And only one other team had NBA players, look at all of them around the international game now, the stars are either on a NBA team or being heavily scouted by one. And they didn't taunt or stern glance anyone, Wade didnt, Melo didn't Lebron didnt, Bosh didnt, Brank didn't, Paul didn't, who did? We lost to Greece, who have been a team for about 7 years, we have been a team for about 3 months max, its okay. We will take this team plus Bruce Bowen, Kobe and a center to the Olympics, and win gold. imagine D-Wade, Lebron and Melo with 2 more years experience in pro ball on that team still, not to mention Chris Paul. And 2 more years maturity for Kobe, who didnt play. We'll be fine.

I think it's the caliber of players sent to play. The Dream Team consisted of the best players from the US for the most part. The team sent to the FIBA Worlds were simply not as good as their opponents. I think US basketball is going to hell anyways. It's now all about show and nothing about skills.

they need to get a defensive special coach. They couldn't defend the pick and roll against greece. it was so sad. bruce bowen should have been on that team. we need bigger men who concentrate on defense and can control the paint. brad miller and antwan jamison and chris bosh are scrubs. we need better shooters too. we missed too many open 3 pointers. bowen is also a good shooter. i don't think the US can win gold at the next olympics because so many nations have caught up with the talent of america. the dream team has been dead for years.

the maericans taught they were the best in the world just because they have the best players instead showing off they should have focused on the game instead of trying to win the game in pure style.
