When CBS falls even further in the ratings, how long before they fire Couric? She already has setnt over half the country to other networks anyway with her today show antics after Bush won...but how long will it take for CBS to send her packing. Im guessing her contract is around 5 years so I guess they will make it about 2 1/2 and buy out the rest.

She should just add this as her signoff since her days are numbered. I certainly wasn't impressed:
"I'm Katie Couric, and unless someone wises up and axes me overnight, I'll be boring the crap out of all of your tomorrow night also. Tune into CNN, NBC, FOXNews or ABC for the real stories making headlines. Check out CBS if you want to see my legs....Goodnight turdballs!"

Well, I gave her a chance. The Today show is so idiotic I could never bear to watch it. Last night was the final nail in the coffin for CBS news as it has sunk so low that it could only recover if they drop Katie tonight and bring back Bob. Why doesn’t Katie just show us her breasts if that’s what will bring the ratings up? Do we really have to see her legs every night? CBS news went from being the benchmark of broadcast news to a horrible joke. It is now entertainment so Katie I’m glad you did your part by entertaining us last night. How long before Katie starts doing product endorsements during the broadcast? It can only get worse because the morons that run CBS could drop her and replace her with Matt. Last night the CBS nightly news committed suicide live and in color and it was absolutely pathetic.

Not soon enough for my news watching. I used to rely on CBS, not since the Rather joke and certainly not with the current fluff.
