All the Tennis tournament names are ending with Open, like French Open, US Open etc...but in other games like Cricket or Footbal, it is not the case. So my question is, wats the 'OPEN' means in Tennis touranments

The term is a bit antiquated since there isn't that much of a distinction between pros and amateurs nowadays. But it basically means that anyone who qualifies (or is invited) can participate, regardless of whether or not they play for money. Currently, the fact that it's an "open" only helps college players who can play the tournaments and gain ranking points and experience, yet still retain their amateur status and collect scholarships and have NCAA eligibility.

In 1968 the French championship became the first Grand Slam tournament to go "open", allowing both amateurs and professionals to compete.

That means the tournament is open to all players, amateur or professional. The "open era" in tennis began in 1968 (i think).
