it's not turning. I think it's because spit dried near where the mouthpiece ends.

Take it to your band teacher, they have a special tool designed just for people like you. I think running it under warm water might help too.

Don't panic and do something stupid like pull on it as hard as you can. Try putting ice on the mouth piece. and mouth peice only. Next try put heat of some kind (hot water) over the Tuba part of the the mouth peice (lead pipe). If that doesn't work take it to your nearest music shop. they have a device called a mouthpiece puller. Guess what that does : ) This happens all the time don't wory. It wont even cost that much.

put an ice cube in the mouthpiece for about 5 minutes and pull it out. If that doesn't work, then try a cigarette lighter on the tuba where the mouth piece inserts, but don't hold it there long enough to melt the solder.

Try to turn the mouthpiece even if you have to press it in farther to get it to turn. It should pull right out once you get it to turn. If not try pliers just to get it to turn. If it won't you need to take it to the music shop. You don't want to damage the tuba just to get the mouthpiece out.

Try warming up the metal around the area where it's stuck, that way the metal will not be so contracted. And try to squirt some valve oil around it to see if it'll loosen.

DO NOT WARM IT UP... hopefully you know that when you warm something it expands so do not do that!! i see someone told you to. Bring it to your band director he should know what to do. i really wouldn't use pliers either you could easily bend your mouth peice and they aren't cheap...
