Lately, I have not been able to sleep, at first I thougt it was over a guy...and now I'm pretty much over that. I find myself glued to the tv and computer...I still go out with friends and have fun...go for jogs. But, I still don't get tired, I don't get sleepy. Why is this? This isn't healthy? I don't know if I should go to my Dr. She will just say its b/c I'm nervous with school starting in a few days. This is not the case...for some reason I am just not getting tired...please any information with similar cases would be helpful. Soon, I'll probably become a zombie...if I ever manage to fall asleep its at like 6 am and then i sleep for 6 or 7 hours...not good...I don't know what to do!

Usually what helps me when anxiety is high, I run myself a nice luxurious bubble bath, with my favourite scented of course...and dry off with baby oil, not a towel, this way I am giving my body a massage at the same time. I throw my most plush house coat into the dryer set on 10 minutes before I get into the bath, and when I get out it's usually nice and toasty warm and snugly. I also prepare myself a light snack also ready to eat after bathing. I find with the warm snugly and a bit to eat is enough to want to get very close to my pillow, and i usually fall into a peaceful sleep just like a baby...Zzz. Hope that helps, good luck!

I find myself having the same problem lately. I will stay up playing poker all night, or I'll be talking to some pretty freaky people ( I think you know who they are ), or I'll watch a DVD until the wee hours of the night, but I'm stopping all that so I can get some good rest and not talk to the freaks like me, because it might not be good for me.

for your sake, i hope you finally get the rest you need before your school starts or else youll get into some serious trouble. You don't want to be a zombie during school, then sleep all weekend, so try and get some rest...it is never too late to get some rest....

Though you may not realize it, you're probably still stressed about your breakup and possibly school and a few other things. I too have problems sleeping. I can't take medication to help me sleep so I've learned to be as active as I can during the day and make sure I'm in a quiet dark room to sleep at night. Never try to force sleep because it only makes things worse. Thank God for yahoo answers! It's great knowing there's always someone to talk to!
