As a rule, it makes sense that the harder you work the more the results. As a cook, the more onions you chop the more cut onions you are going to get. However if the reason for the cut onions is to provide the flavour, then it makes sense to have the onions in a blender whilst you have your hands free for something else. This is working smarter. Working smarter is spraying fields by crop duster, ploughing with mechanical harvesters etc. Yours and the national productivity increases substantially by working smarter. Higher skills e.g driving a harvester as opposed to a buffallo, require edducation and training and also using a bit of commonsense now and again.

Then if u'r goal is to be a famous piano player, u will hardworking on it, u will practice day and night..
I tell u a secret, every goal i have mentioned above is temporaly.. after u get rich what will u do? after u become a famous piano player what will u do?
The truth meaning of live is to prepare u'r self to face other world (heaven or hell).. i believe there is heaven, i believe there is hell, so i hardworking day and night just to get into heaven and avoid hell.... death is the deadline, world is the place, time is the investation.. so i want become rich because i will serve god more if i rich, i want become a famous piano player because it's easier to told people to be in "the right way" if we famous... and so on and so on...

working hard creates energy, and therefore gives life to things, keeps things moving, evolving. It creates progress. Working smart, while tends to improve things in the short run, eventually will bring them to stagnation because it lacks the necessary energy created by the hard work.

at work you should work hard. relationships are supposed to come naturally, otherwise they shouldn't happen. if you have to work hard to please a person you will end up frustrated and bitter. you should fit together so well that everything comes naturally.
