It says in the sun that the other inmates have given him pills, yet a jail warden spotted him whilst he was 20 minutes from death, why not just let him get on with it! Not only is the sicko draining our hard earned tax paying money but it will now cost even more for hospital treatment aswell just to keep him alive!!!

I'm not critising anyones answers but can someone please tell me how anyone in prison suffers?
They get a roof over there heads, 3 square meals a day, tv, computers etc etc
the only way he suffers is when the other prisoners do actually get close enough to do something to him.

i think they should put him in a room with every parent that has ever lost a child in the way he hurt them beautiful girls suicide is to easy why shouldn't he suffer like they did it should be slow and very very painful but saying that if he died it's all over for him his pain would of ended the parents will have pain in there hearts till the day they die so no matter what happens to him it will never be justice

Why give him the easy way out, when the parents of those young girls get given a life sentence every day of their lives, if he lives and he suffers health problems as a result then isn't he getting a taste of his own medicine, if he dies he doesn't have to pay for his crimes. I may sound harsh but what he did to those poor girls was sick and horrific he should face up to his actions and live with the life that he's created for himself. It may take a drain on the tax payers money and I'm a firm believer in the fact that the government always favours every one else but their own, the decent and the hard working but if it was one of my girls he'd done that to i would want to see him rot and suffer. It may of been the inmates but he's tried suicide before whats not to say he doesn't like prison so hes done it himself also the officers still are bound to a duty of care, if they had found him but still left him to die what would the papers have to say about them then would they get thanked for it no they would probably end up in a cell themselves on a charge of manslaughter so they can't win, i do see your point though.

Because, paraxodic as it may seem, the authorities (incl. prison ones) have a duty to protect the lives of *all* the citizens and not just the law-abiding ones.

There is probably also a control issue here - the idea being that it should be the society through its legislative and law enforcement mechanisms that determines what happens to those who break the laws.

Also, from a moral viewpoint, he was sentenced to serve 40 yrs to punish him for what he has done, and checking out early doesn't really effect the same punishment; the point being that watching the best part of your life waste away behind bars is worse than ending it early, and that's the price he has been ordered to pay.

I understand your concern/anger over how much it's costing to keep him alive, but I don't think he should be granted an easy way out. He should be made to suffer for what he did to those two lovely girls.

I honestly believe that he should be made to suffer day after day. If it were up to me, he'd be put into general circulation ... along with paedophiles, where regular inmates don't like segregated prisoners. He'd probably get beat up a lot before someone attempted to take his life. I'd do my damnedest to make sure he survived that too, so he'd have to go through it time after time.

Why should that scumbag get an easy way out? Keep this creature alive and let him suffer. He deserves all he gets after what he did to those innocent little girls, he should be left alone once a week in a room full of mums, that could be interesting, what a punishment.

My first thoughts on the subject were to let him get on with it (posted on answers yesterday actually).
After a little more thought, I now believe that it's worth the cost of keeping him alive to make the scum suffer as much as possible. Why let him take the easy way out?

we save huntleys worthless life because were humanitarian... not savages. were teh death penalty still in force, and huntley were sick on the day of his execution, it would be postponed until the doctor said he was fit to be killed...

and on a personal note, deaths too good for this cun*, let him rot in a cell, sod the cost to the taxpayer, we give plenty away to the kozzys.. huntleys pittance is a price worth paying. alive he suffers every day... dead its all over in a moment... just like jessica and holly. it may seem an expensive trade, but a worthwhile one.

WHY SHOULD HE GET OFF LIGHTLY BY KILLING HIMSELF? Evil bastard should've kept his mits to himself in the first place, then he wouldn't be feeling so **** now. But committing suicide in his case is the easy option, make him suffer and live!
Plus, unfortunately, the law states you can't help a person die, so the prison warden would've lost his job!

I agree that they are wasting their time on a piece of garbage, but he must suffer for what he has done, for him to have a get away by taking an overdose is a WAY TO EASY way out for him, and he MUST face the consequences and face up to it, not like the coward he is.

I am torn with this one. The evil sicko should not be allowed to get away with it that easily. He should die a slow, painful death. Although, you are right, our tax money is wasted although, when was the last time our tax money was used for anything decent?
