I'm really sad too that Steve Irwin died. He was an awesome person and the world will be worst off with out him here for sure. He will be missed a lot and I don't think he got what he deserved. It was just very unfortunate. But at least he died from something he loved doing and loved being a part of. He will be remembered for being an extraordinary Australian. Its a shame that many great people die too young. : (

I'm an American and it's such Shame. I feel so sad over his Life ending. I know that he would want to be alive today to be with his wife and babies. He was such a nice man on TV and He bought us closer to Animals. I just really felt a great loss when I seen on the News that he had been killed. I still wish that he was alive. He had so much life in him that it just makes you wonder why this would or could happen to such a nice guy. This goes to show you that life is just not fair. I say RIP Steve Irwin and thank you for being such a lover of animals and protecting them. I am on your side! God Bless You!

I never paid much attention to him as when he was on the tube, he was always so excited, I thought he was a little coo coo. Then of course the baby incident didn't help. Now that I see what an impact he has had on so many people, I am very sad for his family as well as co-workers. I think you Australians are very kind to have offered his family a very special funeral. He will missed by many, but his by his wife and children although in shock should be very proud they had a man like him in their lives.
Peace and God Bless his memory .

I'm not Australian, even I feel sad over the demise of Steve too. I used to watch him on Animal Planet all the time but watching Animal Planet channel now doesn't feel the same anymore because this man is irreplacable.

We all should be so lucky to die at the moment when we are doing the things we love most. Steve Irwin made a HUGE impact on the world of nature and conservation awareness. His influence rivals that of Jacques Cousteau in this area. May he rest in peace

As a fellow aussie extemely sad. It's just such a shock to everyone, he seemed invincible. It just shows that celebrities are just normal people like us.
Steve was such a great Aussie and advacate for tourism and the environment. It was no way in his fault, it was just a freak accident, the fourth of its type every recorded. In true aussie battler style it was told he actaully pulled the barb out himself before passing away.
RIP Steve we'll all miss you

Losing a fantastic ambasador, naturalist, entertainer and all round good mate. Most right thinking Australians have nothing but love and support for his family. Germaine Greer is on my hit list now though after her comments today (insensitive witch)
RIP Stevo.

i liked Steve a lot, inspired me to become interested in animals and i thought he was a great person, we know a lot more about animals now then we did before, its a great shame he died at only the young age of 44, but he died doing wot he loved. i feel worse for his close family and Friends, especially his children that people that say he deserved it are wrong as it a horrible thing to say about somebody.
RIP steve!
