what are guys thinking when they stare at a women and why do men stare at women even when she's with a man

this is not complaint or anything im not saying its wrong just wondering

In my case, it depends on the age of the man. I am more quietly appreciative than I used to be, less lustful, thanks to age (I'm 44). I try not to stare or leer - a glance is best; gawking is crude. Anyway, it depends on my state of mind. If I'm horny (happens about twice a month these days ;-)), I'm probably thinking, "Wow! Can we make babies together?" Other times I'm soaking up the beauty of lovely curves at an instinctual level without having any specific thoughts; I'm simply mesmerized. A pretty face and shapely body can make me forget where I am, where I'm going, etc. - I've always been that way, believing at some level that a beautiful woman is the key to happiness and a fulfilling life. I don't truly believe that any more but I do experience vestigial flashbacks and have to give myself a mental slap to snap out of it. So depending on where I'm coming from, a woman can be appreciative of my admiration or she can be grossed out by a creepy, dirty old man.

I myself try never to stare at a women. I will "cop-a-look" as subtlely as I can whenever I see something which pleases my senses but I try not to stare. I think it is just plain rude (in any society/ethical etiquette) to stare at anyone at all. I say this because people tend to stare at me all the time because I am one of those people cursed with a unique physical look which makes it nearly impossible to blend in whatever I try.

Anyway, point at hand here: I hate it when people stare, I find it rude and obtrusive. Myself know that not all women enjoy being gawked at, so I don't stare at them. I will glance a bit, try to do it as subtlely as possible, because even though I am happily married, just because I am on a diet doesn't mean I can glance at the rest of the menu!

Seriously, men think than if they stare at women that it will make women feel that the man staring at them is a "strong" one, one who knows what he wants, etc... etc... Guys think women will respond to that because some women actually do. However, thinking it is a general rule that all women will follow is a falacy than most men share, and yet they keep doing so. In fact, if you notice this, you'll see that men will stare at anyone or anything, even if it isn't a beautiful woman. Men seem to be gawkers, and unable to not stare at moving objects.

I would have to say that men think that if they stare long enough at a woman they fancy that the woman will drop everything and flock to their feet. I don't know where this way of thinking comes from but it appears to plague many males of the human species.

As for myself, I will look at a woman I find nice, but I will not gawk, stare, drool, or scream/whistle to express my "approval" of her physical attributes.

men are visual. men will stare at the person they are attracted to. they like to see the human body in motion. the world has also reinforced man's natural tendencies towards watching for beautiful women by having seductive ads in magazines, TV, billboards. you should see some foreign commercials. they actually show women topless or having sex. its crazy, but advertisers know what sells. especially since the world is still male chauvinistic, (men hire men, they make the money, they spend the money so it is catered to them).

Its just that the men who stare are straight men..........as they are attracted towards the opposite sex..........Even if the woman is with a man, the man cannot control himself due to the forces of attraction.................

It`s automatic, sorry can`t help it. Even if she`s with another guy. Seeing a woman with a guy means nothin`. If we find that she`s worth it, we`ll challenge the other guy to get her. (theoretically of course).
