Most of the content that streams from YouTube, is well, streaming. However you can check your Internet Temporary Folder for the video file. Just go to Properties, Settings, View Files and find it manually. However, you would need to find a player like the one on YouTube to play the file.

I guess the main point of youtube is that you use it. if you cannot be bothered to search for your song everytime, register an account. i don't think you can download files legally

Go to youtube.com
Copy the url of the video you want to download.
Go to keepvid.com or http://www.youtubex.com/
Paste it in the web, select youtube and press download.
Download its flv player.
Play the video in your flv player.
There, you got your video in your cpu!

sorry but no. that`s because youtube has their own url, which means that you have to be connected to the internet in order to watch the videos.
