It's called an off day or, as the Red Sox call it, August.

It happens. After a very successful home-stand the Yankees continued the upswing on Monday with a thrashing of the Royals. Last nights loss really wasn't so bad. Mussina needed the work and he got kicked a little. He'll be back strong next start.
They are still the Beasts of the East.

As a Yankee fan I don't sweat the small stuff. It happens every so often. The point is the Yankees will win the division and head for the playoffs, the Royals won't. The Yankees will win the series this year.

they won 5-0... thats a tail kicking? LOL. I think how the yankees bent them over and violated them the night before by scoring 10 runs off KC in one single inning after they trailed KC 5-1 going into the 8th inning on Monday is a Butt kicking, but 5-0? nah, its just a loss. Shake it off and win tonight, and take 2 of 3 and move on.

As Yankee fans, we've seen this all before. The Bombers have an amazing outburst one night, then get shut down the next, or vica versa. It's not the most consistent offense, but keep in mind that this is about as bad as it gets for them. Once the gears start to click and the team starts to roll, they're an unstoppable force.

Must be a KCR fan to think that is "kicking the Yankees tails".
Do you recall the score on Monday... NYY 12 - 5 .

I'm the biggest Royals fan and I always see this happen.I think a lot of time the big name teams under estamate them and think it will be so easy to beat them and they end up messing up cuz a lot of times the Royals win beat some really good teams but loose to some bad ones.

No big deal. The Yankees will just go out and get themselves another 15 million dollar super star...

The Yanks have a huge lead in the division. They're resting people and trying to get and keep everybody healthy. They're laying back and relaxing a little bit to get ready for October.

I doubt the Yankees care too much, with the AAA lineup they ran out there.
