I disagree with you....visit Naples and Rome you will discover they talk italian..!!!(u r talkin about italians) but if you mean americans from italian origin well i dont think there is quit somthing called mafia accent and i dont think all italian people use it!!! (im not italian).....they may have a bit of an accent because of diffrence of languages and system of language...

i think it rubs off on us from family however we are all not Guido's.I'm Italian and i don't speak like that heavy but i do but its stereo typing think about it almost everyone has an accent people from Boston to people from the south and they are American .why don't you let them know they piss you off.
