to me deja vu is a feeling you get when something seems very familiar but you can't quite place it at first. Like when I dream of someone I haven't seen in a while then later I see them and almost mistake the dream for reality. only to realize I'm trippin' and they wouldnt know what the hell I was talking about. The feeling of dejavu is weird but can also be enticing depending who's presence surrounds it

In the movie Matrix -> The sequence repeated again as the cat jumps again our neo says this word "Deja Vu". From there the actual stunt starts. Good movie.

It's french. Deja = already happened; vu= see. So yeah, literally it means "a sensation of something you've already seen before".

It refers to when your two hemispheres timing gets out of whack.

Literally "already seen", but I don't remember the translations of jamais vu and presque vu.

I do remember that jamais vu is looking at some very familiar scene and having a feeling of unfamilarity (or just plain not thinking you've ever seen it before when you can remember it and know you have)

:)

it's french and means "already seen"... the word came about from Napolion when he thought he's seen the battle in his dreams and saw that he would loose if he went through with the plan. He changed the strategy and won the battle. That's what the word means and where it comes from.

It is like when I am going out the front door and I know that the cat or dog is going to run in front of me and they do. But there is no way I could have known that, or predicted it. Or You are talking to some one and you know what they are going to say before they say it. Like life repeats itself. over and over.

it's when there's a reoccurance...some people refer to when something happens in a dream and it becomes real...it's like it happened all over again
