if i came up to you asking for your forgiveness and take out a little bucket to wash your feet, and you accept.( i tried to poison you years ago)
is it not your christian duty to forgive and let go? is this not between you , me and God? if you forgave does that not mean you should forget? or do you not fear God?

interesting??? our old minister of defence Mr Vlok walked into our new ministers office last week askin his forgiveness and washed his feet for him,
Mr Vlok will surely go to heaven. but now theres uproar because he admitted to something and people want to know more!!! this could get crazy and mean alot of nasty things going some old regimes way,
Mr Vlok asked frgiveness but doesnt want to give details and they want to know why not?

personally if i say im sorry im sorry - thats it!! what you do with it is your problem,

what do you think?

Mr. Vlok did not need to wash the minister's feet. He needed to ask God's forgiveness. Unless he did something to the new minister than he did not owe him an apology. This is a case where some churches get the minister and God mixed up.
Also, why do the others in the church even know that this took place? Why did the minister share this with anyone? Are there no ethic violations here? The rest of the people need to just shut up and step back and get over it. Tell them to talk it over with God and ask for his forgiveness for being so petty and nosy.

Well firstly I find his action kind of blasphemous. Remember what he's dealing with in a country like ours. Politics unfortunately are not all straight forward and in South Africa what's good for the goose isn't always good for the gander. But I do agree with you about forgiving and forgetting - after all holding a grudge sure can make life sour.
