Every country in the world has a capital city which is usually the seat of the government - Washington D.C. of USA for example. A country may be divided into provinces, again as in the case of USA, and such a province or state may also have its only capital, Sacremanto of California State for example. A capital is important because of the location of the State or National government.

All the capital decisions are taken at the head (city)of the state, their capitals are called state capital.

There are fifty states. And there are fifty State Capitols. Where the governos is, senator, Representatives. And most of all where they make laws for that state. Lice California, it's state is Sacramento. Texas it's state is Austin!
