once in a while i will wake up hungry in the middle of the night with my stomache hurting, but i feel guilty about getting up and eating then going back to sleep, plus ive already had dinner. should i eat or just ignore the hunger till morning?

I suggest you try some camomile tea, it will soothe the hunger pains and put you back to sleep

If it's just a midnight hunger pang, you can solve it by drinking a glass of water. That way you're not having to digest complex foods in your sleep, and you won't gain weight from it. I know someone who gets up everynight at around midnight, and eats a bowl of cereal. Then she wonders why she's putting on weight. Hmm, I dunno, maybe cuz you're eating junk at 12am? I'm 22wks pregnant and I do the exact same thing. In fact it's 3am here, I can't sleep because I was feeling hungry earlier. So I drank a glass of water. And now I'm going back to bed. =) Hope that helps!!

does diabeties run in your family? before i was tested for diabeties i had increased thirst,hunger and frequent urination in the middle of the night i still get hungry during the night but i drink juice or power drinks to ward off the hunger

have a drink of water and go back to bed. do this for a few days and it will become a good habit. read more on weight loss and healthier eating on this site

try drinking water to fill up or a snack a little later the you normally do just before bed, or change your bed time ,go later

You could have a thyroid disorder...I did...nothing bad just need meds.
