our problems often times occur as a result of some event that happened as a child. Our behaviors are "learned behaviors" so whether good or bad, we carry it with us into our adult years. Our bad behaviors are carried on and brought to the surface when we encounter situations that remind us of it. However, we can get a resolution to this problem if we seek some kind of counseling or therapy. Until we make right with our "bad" behaviors, we will continue on the wrong path often leading to destruction in our lives.

I think everything that happens to us throughout our lives affects who we are and how we deal with different situations. If there is a single event, whether when you were a child or as an adult, that you believe is the root cause of all (or most) of your problems, then you should be in therapy...any event that significant likely can't be dealt with completely on your own.

Problems? No.but reaction and personality is affected by the environment we grow in and events throughout our lives.A person who was abused as a child will tend to be shy or distant socially compared to other people. The person may talk alot but not about himself. this is because his personal space was invaded and the person is not willing to risk being hurt again.so childhood events like any other events affect our perception and reaction to other events in the future.

Yes, most. But I don't think they relate to one event, rather many many years of abusive events.

No!! You'r problems as a child are left. When you become a young lady, you'll have different problems. Then when you become a Lady, you'll have different problems. The secret here is do not pay much attention to those problems, that are not problems, at all.

Freud believed in determinism....that is that our personalties are determined by events in our childhood. (He arbitrarily said at age 6).
The scientific community has largely discredited this viewpoint however. Personality and self-image are constantly shifting, from situation to situation and time to time.

Every problem that one faces on any given day is a creation of that particular day. Its link with one's past is only coincidental.
